Chapter 1: The Beginning of Our Love Story

The happy couple has been together since November of 2021. They met while working at a wedding venue and quickly grew to dislike each other greatly. (Not even joking, had it not been for the actions of several coworkers forcing them to work together, Madison and Jacob may never have even become friends.)

Their first time hanging out together was to paint fairy lights for Madison’s college apartment. They ate Panda Express and watched a movie on Maddie’s tiny couch. This was the first of many times that Jacob would make the drive from Kalamazoo to East Lansing to see Madison. It took only three months of this friendship before the pair made their relationship official.

Chapter 2: The Proposal

Jacob popped the question on a trip to Portland, Maine in December of 2024. Madison knew he was going to propose on that trip and pestered him incessantly about when it was going to happen. She then, unknowingly, foiled his proposal attempt and he had to pivot to Plan B. After a meal that they both consider to be the best meal they have ever eaten, Madison and Jacob returned to their hotel to relax. Madison started getting into her pajamas, but when she exited the bathroom Jacob was standing in the middle of the room still in his formal clothing. Quickly Madison ducked back into the bathroom to put her nice dress back on. Don’t ask either of them what Jacob said during the proposal because neither of them remember a word that was said.

Chapter 3: Happily Ever After

After planning and working on countless weddings together, they are thrilled to finally be planning their own! More than anything, Madison and Jacob are looking forward to a day that feels like them: a celebration rooted in love, friendship, and the joy of finally saying “I do.” Surrounded by family, friends, and the people who have supported them from the very beginning, they are ready to begin their forever.
